Musical Theatre
Our Musical Theater for Young People program introduces children in grades Kindergarten through 8 to music, theater, and movement as they explore every aspect of a musical theater production. This includes acting, singing, dancing and set and costume design. Classes take place at Music Makers of Western Springs (Grand Avenue Community Center) and culminate in a fully staged performance. We offer programs every October, February and June.
Our Musical Theater for Young Adults program is a continuation of our introduction program, offered to young adults, in high school and college. Our Young Adult program is offers Fall Musical (October), Glee (February) and Summer Musical (June).

Grades K-2
Grades 3-8
Under the guidance and direction of our PROFESSIONAL DIRECTING STAFF,
students will spend classes engaged in learning a full musical theater production,
including acting, singing, dancing, set design and costuming.
Fully staged performances will be the highlight at the end of the program.
Classes meet Wednesdays, February 22 – May 2nd, 2012.

*Auditions: June 4th 6-8 p.m. Callbacks: June 5th 6-9 p.m.
Rehearsal Days: Sun. 6 – 9 p.m., Mon. and Wed. 7 – 10 p.m.
First rehearsal: June 6th Performances: July 12th – 15th
Production Fee: $300
*For auditions, please come prepared to perform 16 bars of memorized music – musical theatre preferred. Accompanist will be provided; please bring copies of your music for the directors as well as the accompanist.
